It's getting close to Thanksgiving, and I can't help but think about everything that Jake and I have been blessed with and all that we are thankful for. So I'm going to try and make Thursdays a day where we can reflect on all that we're thankful for, because so many days we seem to busy to sit down and count our blessings
One things that has really been on my mind lately is how everything has just fallen into place since moving to Oxford (well, Abbeville) last February.
I can remember the day we found out where Jake would be working. It was the day before Christmas Eve, and I can honestly say, it kinda ruined our Christmas fun. It was NOT where we had wanted to go and had planned to go. We were soready for them to say go.... only they said go somewhere else. It was a huge blow to us and a big set back. We had all these plans in place, but it didn't matter. We were so dissapointed and upset that things did not work out like they wanted. But now we can look back and so easily say that this may not have been what WE sought out, but God knew what was best for us and what we needed. He has so richly blessed us.
We moved just outside of Oxford to a little community, Abbeville. It's perfect for us. Not in town, but not in the boonies. We bought the most perfect house for us (we walked in and just knew that this was it) and love being homeowners. I had no problem finding a job. And the two greatest things, we found an awesome church family, and we're having a baby! We were so ready to find a good church home. The church in Vicksburg was all older couples and we never felt like we fit. Now, we have a large, loving church family and feel a part of something. And probably the best blessing ever, our little Anna Kate that will be here in March. Jake and I had been wanting to start a family for almost a year. I am so glad we weren't during that stressful time (between Jake getting his job and us moving) but we were so ready to start a family and it just wasn't happening. And now, it has and our precious little girl will be before we know it!
God has shown us that we need to be here, that this is the place and situation we need to be in. We really learned what it meant to "let go and let God". And we can't be more thankful!

TLC is Bad Luck!
Just a little musing here.... Jake likes watching OCC on TLC. We have watched it for several years now. I am not a huge fan of the show, too much fighting and ugly words for me. Anyways, tonight we were watching the season premier. OCC is another TLC show that now has family torn apart. First John & Kate and now OCC. I told Jake that TLC was just bad luck for families. They say things come in 3's, so who knows what's next!

Sugar and Spice, and Everything Nice!
We are so excited to finally know what we're having! And the funny thing is, out little girl is not even here yet and is already being spoiled! We cannot wait for little Anna Kate to get here, but she needs to take her time and be ready herself. For now we'll just be busy getting her room ready for her arrival. I have been looking online and seen a LOT that I like, hopefully Jake can't narrow things down for us. I'm hoping to make a trip to Memphis or Tupelo this weekend and doing a little looking/shopping. Hopefully it will be a good trip and we'll find lots of stuff we like.

Daisy Updates
Well it's been a while since I've posted pictures of Daisy. And she's grown, in size and personaility. So here are a few of our (growing) little girl.
Daisy is getting her "big girl" teeth". She lost 2 teeth the other week (while she was in the house). The Tooth Fairy even came to visit, bringing her 2 nice new bones. Mommy was glad, she was starting to chew on some furniture! :( I guess this is just my lesson in teething, getting ready for the real thing.

Daisy has developed a love for furniture. Not necessarily eating it, but sitting on it. The outdoor furniture I don't have a problem with, except when she tries to get me to get up because I'm in her place....
But the living room furniture, I really don't like. However I'm usually laughing too much at our silly little girl to really discipline her. And for now, she behaves when she gets on the couch, so we let her stay. I'm going to have to invest in a dust buster though. White hair everywhere!
Daisy likes helping her Mommy! Which i surely appreciate the extra hands. Unfortunately, she has not learned that the dirty clothes belong IN the laundry basket. But she good with wiping off the floor. :)
Daisy also likes to help her Daddy, especially bidding on toy tractors on Ebay. And fortunately (or unfortunately for our bank account), she is quite the lucky charm. She seems to always help get that winning bid. Wonder if Jake would look at it the same way if I took her shopping with me! :)
