Tummy Time & Play Time!

We have been having a GREAT time during tummy time!  She went from hating tummy time to loving it in a matter of weeks.  Now that she can lift herself up and look around, I guess she realizes it's not so bad.

LOVE this face! This is why I'll never want to go back to work!

We're seeing a LOT of this now.  I think she's teething.  She's constantly chewing on her fingers and I'm sure I wipe a couple gallons of drool up a day!

She is such a cutie!

LOVE this one too! She's been doing this a little in the last couple of days.  She's just lay on her tummy and rest her head on her head.  Occasionally she'll sigh. Such a grown up little girl!

Oh, and Aunt Martha, we're getting LOADS of use out of the quilt you made Anna Kate!  It is the perfect size for our floor mats we have for her.  She loves looking at all the colors in the quilt.

Look What We're Up To!

Anna Kate is growing by leaps and bounds! I can’t believe she is already 4 months old. She is growing up so fast and is definitely not a newborn anymore. We have been learning lots of new things lately.

We had been giving Anna Kate a little cereal at night in her bottle. But this week we started doing something new – giving it to her with a spoon. She is doing so great sitting up and she’s getting older, we thought it’d be a great time to start.

It is so much fun watching her learn to eat! Guess it’s just a good thing we’re not those type of parents who think Anna Kate should always be clean. Around here, between spit-up, gallons of drool, and now the cereal, I think the only time she’s 100% clean is the first few minutes after her bath!

Father's Day

We made another trip for Father's Day.  We went to Baton Rouge for Jake's grandparents to meet Anna Kate.  They had not had a chance to meet Anna Kate yet, and we thought this would be a great time.

We had such a good time.  We stayed with Eddie & Marilyn and got to see John and visit with him.  He will be a sophomore at West Point this year and was home for a couple weeks before going back.  Anna Kate was very spoiled by all the attention from her great grandparents, her Aunt Marilyn, and her cousins.

We had such a wonderful time and can't wait to come back and visit again!

I don't know what she liked more - her top or Papaw!

Happy Mother's Day

Wow! Sorry it's been so long since we last wrote.  It has been so busy around here that we haven't had much time to even rest! So I'm going to try and bring everyone up to date over the next few days.

This Mother's Day was so special for us because it was the first year I was a Mommy! The weekend of Mother's Day we spent in Natchez because Jake had a work function.  AK did so good on the drive and everyone at the meeting LOVED her! I have never seen so many grown men fawn over her.  I think she had several of them wrapped around her fingers.  There was an auction at the meeting and look what Anna Kate won.

She also won a MSU outfit for a door prize but I don't have a picture of it.  It is going to go perfect with her other MSU stuff as she helps her Daddy cheer on his Bulldogs!

Then on Mother's Day, AK got to meet her great Gramma (my mother's mother) and several of her great aunts. Her Jam, Gran, and Aunt Rachel met us there.  Here are some pics from the day.
